How do solar panels stand up versus hail?
This is one of the most common questions we get and the answer is a resounding - great. Solar panels have a tempered glass covering that is made to withstand some of the harshest tests and weather conditions. Similarly, solar panels are typically mounted facing south at angles (18 degrees to 45 degrees) that deflect the natural path of hail. If your panels are mounted at 10 degrees, they are at a slightly higher risk of damage from hail impact, but they will still stand up to most hail storms that Canada can throw at it.

Homeowner's with solar array's should include the solar power system on your home insurance policy which will cover them in the event of a severe hail storm. In any event, we will work with you to make sure your unfortunate situation does not get any worse.
